We would also like to thank Ace Traffic Management for their ongoing support and all the volunteers who assist with the event.
Total Recreation has been highlighting the major role that leisure plays in our lives believing people with a disability should have the same opportunities to participate in sport and recreational activities as the rest of the community.
Total Recreation was incorporated in 1991, a non for profit community based organisation established to create opportunities for people with a disability across sport, recreational and holiday experiences and activities.
The Katherine To Darwin Challenge (K2DC) raises funds for Total Recreation programs. Some funding is received from the Northern Territory Government however Total Recreation strongly relies on fundraising efforts to continue their work in the community.
The Katherine To Darwin Challenge began in 2014 and over the past 5 years the event has raised over $206,000 for Total Recreation. In 2019 the aim will be to raise a further $50,000!
